Though less complex than the humanoid races of TERA, the stonebeaks are not without cunning or intellect. Some use magic and assume leadership positions, while the rank and file are content to stab things with their spears. Stonebeaks are capable of low-level flight in spite of their improbably small wings and are natural scavengers. Rarely found alone, stonebeaks move about in flights under the command of a highcrest. Explorers and adventurers who stay alert and deal with stonebeaks swiftly should have little trouble with them.

This week's screenshot pair shows off the deceptive pastoral loveliness of the Freeholds. This perilous farming valley is controlled by the Free Brotherhood, a society of deserters and outcasts from the Valkyon Federation who patrol the borders of their stronghold practically in the shadow of Velika.


Populated by abnormally aggressive farmers and livestock, Freehold lands promise danger and death to incautious travellers journeying from the City of Wheels to the Popori capital of Pora Elinu.
